Taurus Civils promotes responsible site establishment, waste control, material efficiency, pollution prevention, drainage protection, and minimised disturbance to surrounding environments. The goal is durable construction with minimum environmental damage and reduced lifecycle failure.

Action Policy

Taurus Civils is committed to responsible delivery that protects people, property, ecosystems, and our clients’ assets.

Comply with all applicable environmental legislation, permits, and client requirements including EMA requirements where applicable

Maintain and improve our Environmental Management System (EMS) aligned to ISO 14001 principles

Reduce environmental impacts by identifying, assessing, and controlling significant environmental aspects

Prevent pollution through effective operational controls for dust, noise, waste, spills, wastewater, and emissions at all worksites

Protect water resources by managing stormwater, preventing contamination, and implementing spill prevention controls

Manage land disturbance and biodiversity risks by avoiding unnecessary clearing, controlling erosion and rehabilitating disturbed areas

Promote sustainability through efficient resource use — materials, fuel, energy, and water — and environmentally responsible procurement

Implement climate action initiatives by improving energy efficiency and reducing operational emissions where practicable

Communicate and embed this Policy through inductions, toolbox talks, training, and ongoing awareness

Review this Policy annually to ensure continued suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness

Each Director and Project Lead is responsible for implementing this Policy in all activities and on every project under their direction and control.

Environmental Objectives

For 2026, Taurus Civils will pursue the following objectives across all projects, measured through site inspections, audits, and project reporting.

01 Progressively reduce waste to landfill through waste minimisation, segregation, reuse and recycling initiatives

02 Actively manage land disturbance and biodiversity risks to prevent unnecessary environmental degradation and ensure timely rehabilitation

03 Actively protect water resources through pollution prevention, spill controls, sediment management, and compliant wastewater management

04 Embed climate change considerations into project planning and environmental controls

05 Strengthen EMS performance through continual improvement, innovation, internal audits, and improved digital reporting
